New Delhi, November 19, 2025 — Symbiosis Dubai brought together cricket, conversation, and community spirit in a special edition of its flagship alumni-engagement series, #SYMBInspires, titled “Cricket & Beyond.” The event celebrated the power of sports to inspire leadership, teamwork, and resilience—values rooted in the Symbiosis philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “The World is One Family.”

Held on November 8, 2025, at the Two Seasons Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, the gathering united students, alumni, faculty, and leaders from both Dubai and India, strengthening Symbiosis’ ongoing mission to cultivate global connections across generations.

Distinguished Alumni Share Insights on Sport, Leadership, and Life

This edition featured two notable alumni from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune—
Vikram Sathaye, cricket presenter, author, and stand-up comedian, and Sunandan Lele, acclaimed cricket journalist and broadcaster.

Though from different batches, their shared passion for cricket and storytelling made for an engaging conversation that offered students a rare behind-the-scenes look into the world of professional sport. Their discussion highlighted how cricket mirrors life—teaching lessons in perseverance, decision-making, teamwork, leadership, and celebrating small wins.

“Cricket, like life, is never a solo sport. When one player steps out to bat, they carry the strength, belief, and spirit of the entire team. Every run reflects shared effort—the victory is never mine alone, it’s ours,” said Vikram Sathaye.

“Every leader plays the game differently; some anticipate, some execute, some inspire. Leadership reaches its truest form when you can read your own strengths as well as your team’s—and turn that understanding into collective purpose,” added Sunandan Lele.
