Girlyveda Launches #PeriodPositiveIndia to Build a Stigma-Free, Period-Supportive Society

New Delhi, 30th December 2026: In a step toward creating a more compassionate, informed, and equitable society, Girlyveda, an Ayurveda-led women’s wellness brand, has launched its nationwide #PeriodPositiveIndia campaign. Rooted in social responsibility, the initiative aims to normalise conversations around menstruation while addressing the persistent issue of period poverty that continues to affect millions of girls across India.

At the heart of the campaign lies a simple yet powerful idea: transforming everyday digital participation into real-world social impact. Through #PeriodPositiveIndia, initative every new expression of support on social media contributes directly to the donation of sanitary pads for the women who lack access to basic menstrual hygiene products. This initiative acknowledges that menstruation is not just a health issue but a matter of dignity, confidence, and equal opportunity.

Across India, many adolescent young girls and women continue to face challenges such as missed education, restricted mobility, social isolation, and emotional distress due to inadequate menstrual resources and deeply rooted taboos. These barriers affect not only physical health but also long-term self-esteem and life choices. The #PeriodPositiveIndia initiative aims to create a supportive community where menstruation is understood, accepted, and responsibly managed.

Through on-ground collaborations with local organisations, Girlyveda has already enabled the distribution of 50,000 sanitary pads across underserved communities, including parts of Delhi-NCR, with plans to expand further through collective participation. As the campaign grows online, the brand is consciously channelling this engagement into social good—giving back to society what it draws from nature, by reinvesting awareness, trust, and growth into the well-being of the women.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Danny Kumar Meena, Founder & CEO, Girlyveda, said:

Beyond pad distribution, the campaign includes community awareness sessions, menstrual hygiene education, and digital storytelling focused on busting myths and encouraging open dialogue within families and social circles. Girlyveda continues to advocate menstrual equity through responsible, women-centric wellness practices, reinforcing the belief that sustainable health solutions must benefit both people and the planet.

Despite growing awareness, menstrual stigma and unequal access remain pressing social challenges in India. Through #PeriodPositiveIndia, Girlyveda reinforces the idea that social change does not require grand gestures—only consistent, collective intent. The brand invites individuals, communities, organisations, and changemakers across the country to join the movement and help ensure that no girl’s growth, confidence, or future is limited simply because she menstruates.
