The makers of the highly anticipated Raid 2 have unveiled their latest musical gem, Tumhe Dillagi—a heartfelt recreation of the iconic classic originally performed by the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Reimagined with emotional depth and contemporary flair, the new version is composed by Rochak Kohli and sung with haunting intensity by Jubin Nautiyal. Lyricists Manoj Muntashir and Purnam Allahabadi breathe fresh life into the words, aligning them with the film’s emotional landscape of love, trust, and hidden vulnerabilities.
Set against a vibrant festive backdrop, the song captures a tender, cinematic moment between Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor. Their chemistry radiates warmth and emotional resonance, even as an undercurrent of tension hints at deeper, unresolved conflicts. Speaking about the song, Jubin Nautiyal shared,
“Tumhe Dillagi has always been one of those timeless melodies that stuck with me—through my childhood, teenage years, and even now. Recreating a song so close to my heart was both an honor and a challenge. I wanted to capture the yearning and silence that often speak louder than words in a relationship.”
Composer Rochak Kohli added,
“Reimagining a classic like Tumhe Dillagi comes with a huge sense of responsibility. The original is soaked in emotion, and my approach was to preserve its soul while giving it a cinematic texture that blends seamlessly into the 80s and 90s era in which Raid 2 is set. It’s a nostalgic yet fresh interpretation.”
