SS Thaman is all set to bring his electrifying energy to the IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on 27th March 2025. With a playlist packed with some of his biggest hits, the celebrated composer promises a high-voltage musical start to the cricketing spectacle.
Expressing his excitement about both the performance and the ongoing cricket season, Thaman shared his admiration for SunRisers Hyderabad and their fearless gameplay.
“Mad cricket! Playing every ball, they are scoring like crazy. This year, I think we have a strong chance to win the cup. I am so happy about this fearless cricket they are playing, especially the opening pair. It’s like some book cricket—every ball, every shot. We have all the records now, and it’s so crazy. I am just praying for this team to lift the cup this year,”* he said.
Thaman took to social media to heighten the excitement, revealing that he will be performing a special setlist featuring OG,Guntur Kaaram, Daaku, and Game Changer for the first time inside a cricket stadium.
