YouTube is revamping its built-in Shorts editor with powerful new capabilities. Creators will soon be able to fine-tune the timing of each video clip, zoom in or out, snap clips into place, rearrange or delete them, and add timed text along with background music. The platform is aiming to make the editing process smoother and more intuitive directly within the app.
Templates and Image Stickers for Personalization
Creators will now be able to select photos from their gallery and drop them into customizable, ready-made templates. These templates can also be enhanced with visual effects. What’s more, YouTube will automatically credit the original creator of the template used. Another new addition is image stickers — allowing users to create their own unique stickers from photos to bring a personal flair to their Shorts.
AI Stickers and Auto Sync with Music Beats
AI-powered stickers are also in the works. With a simple text prompt, creators will be able to generate personalized stickers to match the mood or message of their video. And to top it off, YouTube is launching a beat syncing feature that automatically aligns video clips with the rhythm of the selected song — a major time-saver that also boosts the video’s professional feel.
